Pokémon Go Announced For Mobiles!

This has been an interesting year for Nintendo.  Between the announcement of Nintendo’s mysterious NX console and its decision to start making mobile games, fans have been left somewhat uneasy on the future for Mario’s home company.  Good news came today, however, in the form of Pokémon Go, Nintendo’s first major title planned for iOS and Android platforms.  Coming next year, Go will let players use AR and their phone cameras to hunt, capture, battle, and trade their collection of Pocket Monsters in the real world!

Horizon Chase Pays Homage To Classic Racers

Fans of classic 8-bit/16-bit racers such as Out Run or Hang-On can look forward to an impressive little game for their mobile phones next week.  Launching on August 20 from developer Aquiris, Horizon Chase is a modern take on those retro “3D” racers that were popular in the arcades and home consoles back in the late 80s.  Featuring polygonal backgrounds, familiar cars (the “Cruiser” is, of course, a Ferrari F50), and locations set around the Southwest, this title looks to play on the nostalgia card perfectly.  We were sold on the soundtrack alone!  Video below:
