Arguably the best version of arguably the best Resident Evil is now available on Wii U, courtesy of Nintendo’s eShop.
It’s the end of the week, and if you’re looking for a new title to play over the weekend, you’ve got a few titles to pick from.
Love them or hate them, the Resident Evil films have been successful enough to warrant five movies so far. With that being said, they’re amping up production for the sixth and final movie before this series is put to rest, once and for all. Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, which begins filming this September in South Africa, will pick up after the events of Resident Evil: Retribution and put Project Alice up against the Red Queen in a race to save what’s left of humanity.
Fans of Resident Evil 2 have been clamoring for a full-on remake nearly just as long as they have been wanting one for Final Fantasy VII. Following Square Enix’s move at E3 this year, Capcom has officially announced that Resident Evil 2 is getting the same treatment, though not for some time.
In preparation for E3 and plenty more coverage next week, Capcom has released their first trailer of Resident Evil 0 HD. Thanks to the joy of photo-realistic backgrounds, the game looks stunning.
Capcom had massive success with the HD port of the original Resident Evil, and as such is following suit with Resident Evil 0.
Due out early 2016 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, no price or additional features have been announced yet, though the original director for RE0, Koji Oda, is confirmed to be directing this port. We’ll post more details as they become available.
