Looks like players are getting a bit more bang for their buck with Gears of War: Ultimate Edition.
When and HD remaster was announced for Gears of War, many players were wondering if the rest of the series was going to get the same treatment. While that isn’t the case, Microsoft has done the next best thing.
Just announced today by Microsoft, players who purchase and play the game will also get access to GoW’s two sequels and its prequel (Gears of War: Judgement) when backwards compatibility launches this fall FOR FREE!
This is excellent new for those out there that have sold off their older games, and would like to rejoin Delta Team and fight back against the subterranean Locust hordes.
While this may not be much news for the players who DO still have their old 360 copies, it’s a nice gesture by Microsoft and maybe a precursor of things to come as we get closer to the backwards compatibility launch.
Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is scheduled to be released on Xbox One on 8/25/2015 (NA).
