As with every new day comes fresh news from all of over the gaming-sphere. In this Monday through Friday post we will try to hit all of the big news that you want to see!
15May2015 – Suspensions, Windows 10 and a few game highlights round up today’s breakfast! Can you believe Microsoft came out on top in April?
Permanent Suspension: Yesterday was a media frenzy as reports of mishaps and bad juju swarmed over the gaming realm. The big hitter? – Leaked footage from the unannounced and denied Gears of War Remastered Edition. In a poor fashion several testers from The Global Beta Test Network allowed the video to make it online. Microsoft was very resolute in their action and in protecting their assets and dropped the hammer. As Microsoft clearly has stated in their policies, the footage is private and releasing any will result in suspension of accounts. Check out their official statement below after a doozy of misunderstandings:
Xbox Sneaks Up: At this point we have just come to expect that Playstation will be the month to month winner and in time win the console war at hand. After having some major releases recently we assumed April would have been another ‘check in the box’ for Sony and Co. but to our shock, Xbox managed to overcome the competition in sales for the first time since the holidays. Microsoft has been struggling to gain traction in certain global markets that Playstation has strategically cornered. Is this the start of a new trend?? (Figures have yet to be posted)
Nintendo NX: For the second day in a row we are hearing information on the gaming platform shrouded in mist – the Nintendo NX(covername). In a scoop from executive officer Satoru Iwata, he covers the simple musings of the next console for those of us chomping at the bit! Check it out:
“We will not announce any details about NX until 2016. I used the name “NX” during our joint press conference with DeNA on March 17 because we thought that our announcing the business alliance with DeNA to start a smart device business could result in such misunderstanding as “Nintendo is making a transfer to smart devices because it is pessimistic about the future for dedicated video game systems.” I intentionally chose to announce the development of NX so early because I wanted to confirm the fact that we are developing a new dedicated video game platform, that we have never lost passion regarding the future for dedicated video game systems and that we have bright prospects for them. Though I cannot confirm when it will be launched or any other details of the system, since I have confirmed that it will be “a dedicated video game platform with a brand new concept,” it should mean that we do not intend it to become a simple “replacement” for Nintendo 3DS or Wii U.”
“Your question also included the “current notion of thinking about home consoles and handheld devices.” When it comes to how dedicated game systems are being played, the situations have become rather different, especially between Japan and overseas. Since we are always thinking about how to create a new platform that will be accepted by as many people around the world as possible, we would like to offer to them “a dedicated video game platform with a brand new concept” by taking into consideration various factors, including the playing environments that differ by country. This is all that I can confirm today.”
“Taking this opportunity, because we were often asked if we will make any new announcements about NX, smart device applications or QOL at this year’s E3 show, let me confirm that we will not discuss anything about our smart device business or QOL there because, to us, E3 is an event mainly for dedicated video game systems. Also, because we have confirmed that any new information about NX will be announced in 2016, I hope you will understand that if you expect us to discuss NX during the upcoming E3 show, you will just end up being disappointed.”

Uh, That’s Pretty Cool
PlayStation is gearing up for E3 and with it only a month a way what can we expect?! Well I think there is no way to avoid seeing something about the next installation to the PS exclusive – Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. We want to see more gameplay!
Do you think it would be too much to ask for more VR this year? – We don’t think so. With an incredible lineup of games being engineered to us the Oculus Rift headset, we can only speculate that there will be A LOT of demo’s to expose this year at E3. So bring on NO MAN’S SKY!
A few other titles we wouldn’t mind to see:
God of War III: Remastered, Ratchet & Clank, Until Dawn, Gran Turismo 7, etc – These should all be part of the lineup as they have been announced already.
Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition is heading to the PS4, XB1, and PC this year! RPG’ers rejoice for another fan favorite to make it to the next generation! WAIT, you already bought it once? You don’t want to buy it again? – okay…twist my arm why don’t ya. FREE to EVERYONE who ALREADY owns a copy of the game!
They are also stating that it is a separate game…..What? Yeah – its not just an update it is a new game that you are getting for free. Very exciting stuff here! Thank you Larian Studios! Look for a bigger review of this later today!
“It’s Madden Season” and yes we are already excited for the next installment of the one true football game. Just like it has happened before – we are getting special editions that will toss in some bonus team packs and other extras. If you are as excited as our team about this, Chris has posted an update all about Madden’s newest cover star!
Windows 10 is debuting its official Xbox app on the mobile edition of its OS and we like what we see. We are only a few short months from getting our hands on the final cut of what is said to be “the last Windows OS.” While the OS is rolling out to PC’s first, we can expect the mobile devices will be close behind as there are already 2 rumored flagship Windows phones on the way! Can’t wait!
Nintendo cannot delay any further, they will become part of the mobile phone gaming market this year. They aren’t saying you will get a massive lineup to cherish on you smartphone but just 5 games by early 2017. So if you can’t go without Nintendo anywhere anytime, then just wait until E3 when they spill tons of news on these games!
Any other things you had in mind? If there is something you want to know more about, let us know and we will research it and get the news to you ASAP!
We want to make sure if you want chicken in your quesadilla that you’re getting it!
